What is a Sellers Market?

When you hear a realtor say it's a "sellers market", do you know what that means? Inventory is low, meaning there are not enought houses for sale as there are people looking to buy.

In our experience over the past year and a half, our sellers receive multiple, if not dozens, of offers on their homes. This allows our sellers to choose the highest and best offer. Homes are selling for top price because inventory is low and buyers don't have many options.

If you have been considering putting your home on the market, we cannot stress enough that now is the time to do so. All along the east coast, especially in New Jersey, we are seeing the market value of homes increase tremendously. If you are going to be selling within the next six months, make sure to prepare now.

Preparing to Sell During Winter Months

Schedule a professional photoshoot of your home now. If you know you will be selling this winter, take advantage of what sunshine and greenery we have left. Don't wait for the leaves to fall and the grass to loose it's luster.

Keep holiday decore simply. If you are selling during peak holiday months, make sure that your decorations do not distract or overpower the room.

Pay extra attention to curb appeal. The winter months can be dark and cold. Light up the exterior of your home along the curb and walkways, and on the porch.
